While at the store the other day I was standing in line but my mind was off in space somewhere. In a split second, a young lady blurted out “Mom, she was next!” I snapped out of my daydream and kind of smirked which seemed to annoy the mother. The mother then ranted on about where the line started and proceeded to put her items on the counter. Since I was coming out of my trance, I just kept smirking and flagged my hand at this lady. My actions or condescending response seem to just a aggravate this woman and I took pleasure in her annoyance.
Although I did not have a verbal response to this loud woman who was clearly in the wrong, I too was wrong. I knew that I was pushing this woman’s buttons and willingly continued to poke the bear. As I sat in the car and asked myself for the purpose of my actions, I did not have a reasonable response. But I enjoyed every moment of her slamming things on the counter and snatching her items. I remained calm and simply just stood there with the cutest smirk on my face.
Seriously I can do better however there are times when a little smirk can go a long way.
And of course Nothing is Normal
